We are here to help identify areas where technology can assist you in everyday life. Whether that’s connecting with your loved ones via video chat, helping you to safely store your passwords, or logging onto important government websites, we have several ways to determine the areas where you need assistance.

Our Tech Check is a great place to start!

A Tech Check identifies your current status/usability within your own personal digital landscape, and how we can help you use technology to improve your quality of life. We go through a set of detailed questions and document the technology and devices you currently use, identifying your level of knowledge on how to use each of these. We then provide you with a comprehensive report that lists your personal goals, and recommendations on areas we can assist you.

Grandaids is not a call centre or remote assistance service. We pride ourselves on offering a one-on-one, in-home personal service. You may, over time, build a rapport with your Grandaids Mentor and call on them for regular appointments.

Yes, you can book on behalf of your loved ones and friends. Just give us a call and we’ll take care of the rest. Ideally if you have a couple of booking times and dates in mind, we can lock in the mentor session straight away. Alternatively, you can provide us with your loved one’s phone number, and we can call directly to organise the session time. 

Yes, a large part of our business is done through Nursing homes and Home Care organisations. We liaise closely with the Case Managers of our clients to ensure we are working within the parameters of their Home Care Package.  If you are a Home Care company looking for  Grandaids to help your clients, please contact us for further information.

Our assistance depends on your needs. We cover a range of technical issues and questions in one session, depending on how time consuming the issue is. An average mentor session would be 1.5hrs, charged at $140 per hour. Session extensions are available in 30-minute blocks for $70 per 30 mins.

Private clients can pay their Mentor directly when the in-home session is complete. We accept credit or debit card payments. Our Home Care and Nursing Home clients will be invoiced via the referring organisation.

We understand it is important to build a relationship with your digital mentor, therefore, we will endeavour to assign you the same mentor each time. All our mentors are of the highest standard, combining understanding and patience with technical know-how. We are confident that you will be happy with the assistance you receive. 

Clients or Grandaids may reschedule any in-home session by providing at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice to each other. Rescheduled bookings made by the client within twenty-four (24) hours’ notice will incur a 50% session cancellation fee. Cancellations the day of sessions incurs 100% of the fee. 

Our sessions can take place from 8.30am – 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
